Eagle Street Pier in the heart of Brisbane City is the home to some of Brisbane’s most
iconic and well known dining institutions. This silly season instead of slaving away over the stove why not visit
the Sunshine State and indulge in some of Queensland’s fresh produce.
Restaurants such as Cha Cha Char, Il Centro and Vino’s Restaurant all have something
unique to offer this festive season.
If you’d prefer a steak this Christmas instead of the traditional Turkey then drop by Cha Cha
Char to satisfy your craving. Pursue a steak menu unlike any other; each meat’s breed, paddock, age, size and
diet is provided to help you chose the perfect melt in your mouth steak.
Or you may be a traditionalist? In which case make a Christmas lunch booking at Il Centro where a three
course menu has been designed to show off the talents of Executive Chef Romain Bapst. The favourites will no doubtably
be the traditional oven roasted turkey breast, sautéed bintje potato and asparagus with pancetta with a cranberry
and pear chutney marsala jus or the steamed Christmas pudding with warm vanilla and Galliano sauce, caramel and macadamia
nut gelato.
As well as Christmas, why not bring in the New Year at The Pier? Vino’s Restaurant will be hosting
a five course degustation menu including a bottle of wine from the wine list and the entertainment from the The Simon
Watson Trio. The band will keep you entertained with swing and jazz as you enjoy views overlooking the Brisbane River
watching the fireworks burst over head.
